Sports Plus is recruiting members for a fan group to attend South Korea’s matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar
Sports Plus (CEO Shin Young-dae), a sports PR and marketing company, is recruiting a tour group to watch South Korea’s matches at the 2022 Qatar World Cup in collaboration with Yanatrip (CEO Cho Ji-hwan), a travel agency specialising in the Middle East.
The 2022 Qatar World Cup, taking place this coming November, features stadiums located within Doha city centre, making travel and attending matches in person convenient. However, accommodation is in short supply, so high accommodation costs are expected. Sports Plus and Yanatrip have launched a World Cup package that involves staying in the United Arab Emirates and travelling to Qatar for the matches. This package includes first-class seats for South Korea’s three group stage matches, World Cup souvenirs, meals, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, as well as return flights from Incheon to Dubai and from Dubai to Doha. Local sightseeing in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, including tours of the Burj Khalifa and desert safaris, is of course included. Accommodation is in a 4-star hotel in Dubai or a Dubai apartment hotel.
Sports Plus stated, “Through our partnership with Yanatrip, we have secured a large number of Category 1 tickets for the World Cup.” Sports Plus added, “Pricing ranges from 7.45 million won for a 5-night, 7-day package including one match viewing and local cultural tours (based on premium category 1 tickets for South Korea’s matches) to 12.57 million won for an 11-night, 13-day package including three match viewings,” noting that “tailor-made packages are also available according to the purchaser’s requirements.”
Sports Plus has announced that those booking Qatar World Cup tour packages through the company will be provided with free COVID-19 PCR tests (administered by a nurse directly at the hotel, valued at $100 per test) required for entry into both Qatar and South Korea.
