This immersive cultural journey introduces participants to Korea’s centuries-old fermentation traditions while exploring some of Jeollanam-do’s most beautiful cultural destinations. From an overnight Temple Stay at Baekyangsa Temple to Korea’s famous Sunchang Fermented Food Festival, visitors experience authentic Korean traditions, local communities, regional cuisine, and breathtaking natural scenery.
Participants will also discover traditional pottery, bamboo forests, tea plantations, and optional traditional Korean liquor or ceramic museum experiences before concluding the journey.

🗓 DAY 1 – Temple Stay & Buddhist Culture

Begin your journey at the peaceful Baekyangsa Temple, one of Korea’s most beautiful Buddhist temples located within Naejangsan National Park. Participants will experience the tranquil atmosphere of Korean temple life while learning about Buddhist traditions, mindfulness, and monastic culture.

- Evening Buddhist chanting ceremony (optional)

🗓 DAY 2 – Fermentation Heritage & Sunchang Festival
After participating in the early morning temple ceremony and enjoying a traditional Buddhist breakfast, participants depart Baekyangsa and travel to Sunchang, one of Korea’s most famous regions for traditional fermented foods.

Sunchang Fermented Food Festival
Experience one of Korea’s 대표 fermentation festivals celebrating Korea’s famous fermented foods including Gochujang, Doenjang, and Ganjang.

Transfer to Damyang
Travel to Damyang before checking into Hotel de Monde for an overnight stay.
🗓 DAY 3 – Bamboo Forest, Green Tea & Coastal Nature
After breakfast, continue the journey through Jeollanam-do by exploring Damyang’s famous bamboo forests before traveling to Boseong, Korea’s most well-known green tea region.

Juknokwon Bamboo Forest
Walk through one of Korea’s most famous bamboo forests while enjoying fresh air and peaceful natural scenery.

After breakfast and hotel check-out, participants may choose one of two optional cultural experiences before concluding the tour.
Option 1 – Korean Traditional Liquor Experience
Visit “Woorisul & Healing” and learn about Korea’s traditional alcoholic beverages through an educational tasting and cultural experience.
Participants will learn:
- Traditional brewing methods
- Korean fermentation culture
- History of Korean traditional liquor
Option 2 – Yeongam Pottery Museum
Visit the Yeongam Pottery Museum to explore Korea’s ceramic heritage and traditional pottery craftsmanship.
